A supported international learning experience with overseas placement opportunities in India and Malaysia.

The Wider Horizons Programme combines online learning with the opportunity to take part in an exciting overseas placement.

Through a short Level 2 qualification and international experience, learners explore safeguarding, culture and how children and communities are supported in different parts of the world.

For some, it’s the chance to travel somewhere they’ve never been before. For others, it’s about stepping outside their normal routine for a while, meeting new people and seeing life through a different lens.

Programme Destinations: India or Malaysia

Expected travel period: July-August

Programme fee: £250

Overseas placement contribution: £150

Qualification: TQUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)

Unfortunately you will be unable to enrol onto an apprenticeship without a current employer who is willing to support your development through the programme.

You may wish to approach local settings directly to enquire whether they would be interested in supporting an apprenticeship. Should you identify a setting willing to do so, we would be pleased to support both you and the setting with your apprenticeship training.
