Every child and young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, whatever their starting point. A strong foundation in the early years, a positive experience at school or college and, where needed, stable and supportive residential care all contribute to that journey.
At Orange Moon Training, we focus on developing the workforce behind that experience.
We provide specialist training across early years, children’s homes and education. Our programmes are designed not simply to meet qualification requirements, but to strengthen practice, build confident leadership and support long-term workforce development.
Since 2010, we have delivered Government-approved training programmes to professionals working in nurseries, pre-schools, schools, children’s homes and as home-based childminders.
Our delivery team includes experienced practitioners and leaders from across these sectors. We understand the realities of leading a school, managing a nursery and running a children’s home. That practical insight shapes how we design and deliver our programmes.
In recent years, our work has expanded to include international delivery, including a programme in India that combines teacher training, exchange opportunities and collaboration between UK and Indian schools.
A new year of life changing international placements starts now.
Our 2025-26 Turing Scheme Programme is now open.
We’re incredibly proud to be able to offer this opportunity again, and this year it truly feels extraordinary. Only a handful of training providers in the UK help deliver the Turing Scheme, and Orange Moon learners are among the few who can take part.
The new programme is our biggest yet. Learners will have the chance to travel everywhere from the Tanzania to Malaysia, The Gambia to Sri Lanka and beyond, with placements that open their eyes to completely different ways of working and living. These trips give people the kind of confidence, curiosity and perspective that stays with them for years.
This sits alongside their regular training, but it brings something no classroom ever could. Time in another country. Real experience in real settings. New ideas, new people and a sense of what they are capable of when they step outside their comfort zone.

Our Apprenticeship Programme
We offer a wide range of accredited apprenticeships across childcare, children’s residential care and education, supporting both new entrants and experienced professionals.
We work closely with organisations to design programmes that reflect their setting and strategic priorities, whether that is strengthening classroom practice, developing leadership in a children’s home or building capacity in early years provision.
Our apprenticeships are not off-the-shelf. They are shaped around your workforce profile, the communities you serve and the outcomes you are working towards.
Upskilling your team
Apprenticeships can be used to develop existing staff as well as recruit new talent. Many of the organisations we work with use them to build leadership capacity, support succession planning and retain skilled professionals.
Alongside apprenticeship funding, other funding routes may be available to support ongoing professional development.
We can work with you to review your workforce priorities and design a development pathway that supports both immediate needs and longer-term strategy.
