Start-up training to be a Childminder Educator

Our start-up training is designed to provide childminder educator applicants with the necessary knowledge and skills to set up and run a successful home-based childcare service.

Ofsted complemented the training for childminders during our inspection:

What Ofsted say about our training:

“Childminders receive good quality training from the agency. This is helping them to reflect on their practice and evaluate the quality of their own work.”

What Ofsted say about our training:

“I didn’t realise how much was involved in registering as a childminder but I feel a lot better knowing that I have had the knowledge from this course.” M. Walls

“I would definitely recommend @HCC, even if you can’t get it funded, it’s still money put to good use. Informative, professional and friendly tutors. Thank you!” A. Dore

The training to become a childminder is in 2 stages:

Minder in Mind is delivered as convenient online training.

The fee for Minder in Mind is only £15. It includes a 30 – 45 minutes telephone question and answer session, which we arrange after you have completed the interactive online course.
